Abstract

Phytoremediation is a process of waste utilization and conversion by plants which includes such techniques as: phytoextraction, phytodegradation, phytovolatilization, rhizofiltration (phytofiltration) and phytostabilization. This review provides definitions and brief description of phytoremediation techniques and gives examples of their successful use.
